Black Gifted Underachievers on Transitioning to College

With so many in the US awakening to the racial inequity that is systemic in so many areas, I was particularly happy to see some (albeit limited) research emerging on the experience of black gifted students. This article by Sewell and Goings (2020) shares the experiences of four gifted black students in New York and highlights gaps that exist, but also the resilience of these four students in navigating those gaps independently.
