It is not enough to have a good mind; the main thing is to use it well. –Rene Descartes
I love this quotation from Rene Descartes. It sounds so simple, but it is actually very complicated. Many gifted people, especially adults, may want to use their minds well but struggle to find the best way to do so.
Have you ever found yourself knowing you could accomplish great things if you only knew where to start and what to focus on? Many gifted adults are interested in many different things and topics and may find it difficult to pick one thing to move forward or focus on. Others are superb at focusing with seeming superpower ability at singular areas.
There is no right answer to this. Ultimately, there is no "right" way to use the brain well. If you grapple with how to use your giftedness, you are already using it well.
I completely feel this way!
